Q. Why move to a new location?
A. The current church location (Route 66) simply is not large enough to
accommodate the new facility and provide space for future expansion. We will
require a minimum of 10 acres and the Route 66 site is only 8.2 acres. Additionally
there are environment for worship, youth ministry needs, and other social aspects
that can not be satisfied where we are now located.
Q. The building project brochure indicates an unfinished lower level (classrooms)
area. Should we be concerned about youth education?
A. The infrastructure of the lower level will be finished in the initial construction.
The interior walls will be added and finished as a parish project with volunteer
help by parish members and the youth groups of the parish. In developing an
affordable plan, consideration is being given to establishing ownership for the
new facility by parish membership. The lower level seemed to be the best fit for
this approach.
Q. Many of our parishioners are in the construction and/or construction supplies
business. Will they have a chance to submit bids for the new church?
A. During the bidding phase (1st quarter of 2008) bids will be open to everyone.
The bulletin and letters to parish members will solicit bids from parish members
if they wish to do so.
How can I pay my pledge?
There are many different ways you may pay your pledge:
Electronic transfer: Mark the back of your pledge card that you
wish to pay electronically (or stop by the office if you have already
turned in your pledge card). Mark the amount you wish to have deducted,
the frequency (weekly or monthly) and the date you wish the funds to be
transferred from your account.
Credit Card: Use your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American
Express card. Call the parish office to make arrangements.
Building Fund Envelope: If you wish to donate by cash or check,
use the building fund envelopes from your box of envelopes or from the
back table. (If you use one from the back table, be sure to put your
name or envelope number on the envelope so we can credit your pledge
account.)
Stock Donation: Contact the parish office to obtain the
information you will need to make a stock transfer to the building fund.
